A day tour that offers a powerful blend of Viking history, dramatic natural wonders, and snowmobiling on the ice. Meanwhile, this journey through the less touristy Borgarfjörður area brings together the stories of the Icelandic Sagas and the beauty of Langjökull, offering you a unforgettable day… Ready to know what you’re in for? Let’s do this!

Legends, Landscapes & Glacier Thrills

Firstly, your adventure begins in the tiny town of Borgarfjörður, a region celebrated as the birthplace of Iceland’s most iconic sagas. Secondly, you’ll experience towering mountains, picture perfect valleys, and endless views of farmland. Thirdly, they all set the stage for tales of legendary Vikings such as Egill Skallagrímsson and Snorri Sturluson. In fact, as you travel through this storied landscape, you’ll feel the past come alive around you…

Next, the first stop on the Silver Circle & Snowmobiling Day Tour is Deildartunguhver. This spot is known as one of Europe’s most powerful hot springs. But be aware, it’s not one you bathe in, it’s one to marvel over! To illustrate, you’ll see clouds of steaming water gush from the earth, showcasing the immense geothermal forces that shape Iceland’s landscapes and power the island.

Furthermore, you’ll visit Barnafossar, a waterfall steeped in eerie folklore believe it or not! Its wild blue rapids and natural stone shapes create a scene that feelslike a movie set. Take time here to learn about the local legends from our Gravel Travel driver guide. Truly it will add a mysterious layer to the stunning beauty.

Your journey then leads into the sanctuary of Húsafell. Which is a lush haven surrounded by birch forests, lava formations, and glacial rivers. Bask in the atmosphere and vibes of this offbeat area before your adventure levels up!

Silver Circle & Snowmobiling Adventure in West Iceland

From Húsafell, your Iceland driver guide takes you into Iceland’s highlands for the highlight of your Silver Circle & Snowmobiling experience… Here you’ll gear up to have a thrilling ride across Langjökull Glacier.
