Mýrdalsjökull Glacier is renowned as one of Iceland’s most iconic landmarks. It’s the source of the captivating Kötlujökull glacier. This glacier, named after the formidable Icelandic Volcano Katla, conceals the mighty volcano beneath the ice. Over time, this colossal ice mass has slowly descended from the volcanic mountain. Which is uncovering Iceland’s most remarkable natural ice caves.

First, you’ll jump into one of our towering super jeeps. Second, you’ll marvel over the ride up to the glacier. Meanwhile, no matter the season, it will prove to be memorable! Third, on the way to and from, your driver-guide will share with you information about the landscape and local folklore. Fourth, upon arrival you’ll gear up and take a short 5 minute walk to the base of the glacier. Next, your guide will lead you up to our private and exclusive Katla ice cave and explain the magic of it’s creation.

Will you join us on an exhilarating private Super Jeep tour to Katla Ice Cave? We dare you to immerse yourself in the splendors of this extraordinary natural wonder! As soon as you step inside, you’ll understand why it’s a year round must-see! If you have more questions, check our our FAQ’s.
