Zip lining is the perfect activity for those who love a challenge. Picture yourself hiking through a beautiful river canyon and soaring through the air on four different zipline rides. The rides range from 30 to an impressive 240 meters long. As you fly through the air, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the stunning Grafargil scenery below you. Get ready to create memories that will last a lifetime!
The Beginning
Our Ziplines are next to the village of Vík in South Iceland, surrounded by beautiful hills and valleys. It is not directly accessible by vehicle, so after we meet at our base at in Vík, we drive for 5 minutes, then hike for another 5 minutes at a moderate pace to reach the take-off platform for the first zip, named Little Rush. We will give you detailed safety instructions and ensure you are comfortable with what to do during the zipline so you will enjoy the ride to the fullest and stay safe. Once you’re ready, you wait your turn, and the next thing you know, you are zipping above the canyon, heart pumping with excitement and having the best birds-eye view of the area you couldn’t imagine beforehand.
The End
Our second zipline, The Gentle Giant, is just around the corner from the first. It’s our longest ride, 240 meters, and is often named the prettiest. When everyone has safely finished the two first ziplines, it’s time for a short hike (about 10 minutes) through the unique rock formation of Grafargil (Grave Canyon) to the next activity, Leap of Faith, our shortest line, and we do things here slightly differently. We won’t tell you more for now because we don’t want to spoil your surprise. Lastly follows the fourth zipline that we call Big Rush, which will take you over a stunning waterfall named Hundafoss (Dog’s waterfall). To finish the experience, we might offer a short hike back to our base if the weather permits.
